Imran Khan Cancer Appeal
Fighting cancer costs. In a country where 65 million people live below the poverty line, most cancer patients in Pakistan neither have the means nor the support system to give them a fighting chance.
An equal chance at life is the fundamental right of every person, regardless of their means. This is what we strive to provide at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. This is what your Zakat and Sadaqah can achieve.
‘The Miracle of Shaukat Khanum Hospitals is that the poorest people get world-class cancer care without charge.’
—Imran Khan
At Imran Khan Cancer Appeal, we’ve been working to close the care gap for over 28 years. Because what you earn or where you’re from, shouldn’t determine whether you live. Thank you for supporting our efforts.
In almost three decades, we’ve expanded our reach and capacity by establishing Diagnostic Centres, Laboratory Collection Centres, Outreach Screening Clinics nationwide, and so much more. We run two hospitals, in Lahore and Peshawar, where your Zakat and Sadaqah enables us to offer comprehensive cancer care free of charge. And now we’re building our third and largest hospital, which will bring free cancer care to Karachi.
Meet Our Patients: Marwa
Marwa was just 9 years old when she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a type of bone and soft-tissue cancer, common in children. It’s been a long and hard battle for Marwa and her family since. But receiving free treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital meant she had a fair chance against cancer.
“I witnessed that everyone, rich and poor, received the same medicines, treatment and services. My daughter received the best care, recovered and is now back home.” —Marwa’s Father
This year, thanks to the support of our donors and Shaukat Khanum Hospital staff, Marwa completed her final chemo cycle. You can read Marwa’s story by clicking below.
